My Mother Has 4 Noses Is Back!

Musical Play – One Daughter’s Story of Life with Her Mother Who Has Dementia

Lori La Bey host of Alzheimer’s Speaks Radio interviews Jonatha Brooke, a highly acclaimed singer/songwriter with 4 major label releases, and 9 CDs on her own label, Bad Dog Records.  She has written for film, including Disney’s Peter Pan and Tinkerbell series; TV, including the theme for Joss Whedan’s  Dollhouse; and for other artists – Katy Perry, Madeleine Peyroux, Lizz Wright, Joe Sample.

The interview will focus on Jonatha’s 2014, One-Woman Musical, My Mother Has 4 Noses, which played Off Broadway at the Duke Theater. It was a Critic’s picks in the NY Times, and NY Post and ran for 3 months.  La Bey has personally seen the show several times, with a variety of friends and associates.  Each time, La Bey has been so impressed with the beautiful storyline highlighted through gorgeous music, which allows the audience laugh and cry together, removing the isolation dementia can create.

Broadway Picks Up A Red Hot Show

About Dementia!

“You won’t want to miss this play as Jonatha Brooke takes storytelling and her exquisite music to a new level.  I’ve seen My Mother Has 4 Noses three times and each time I have been amazed by the audience reaction. People relate to her personal story of dementia through laughter and tears, but Lori_040_1LQSoftCroppedthe incredible part is to see and hear the conversations ignite on how we care for one another after the play. It’s impossible not to think about how you want to be cared for and to look at how you have cared for others after watching this play.  These conversations are not your typical after show talks, but needed, intimate conversations that continue long after the performance.  I highly recommend you can stay for the talk back if you can fit it into your schedule too!”
