Caring for persons with dementia brings a unique set of challenges.  Silver Dawn Training Institute equips professionals and loved ones with a new way to communicate with these individuals: introspective improv.

Their approach is unscripted, unconventional and unapologetic. They deal with real-life scenarios and consider your – and your patients’ – vantage points. Their training is based on the company founders’ experience in long-term care.

Cathy Braxton is the Chief Education Officer of Silver Dawn Training Institute.  Tami Neumann is the Chief Operations Officer and they co-created the Dementia RAW Method,  Collectively they have over 40 years of experience in the long-term care/aging industry.

Come learn and laugh with us as we discuss new ways to live graciously along side dementia.

Push Research Forward – Join the A-List

We’ve all wrestled with a guilt trip – aging parents or a sick spouse who fear that we will not respect their wishes to stay at home. Statistics reaffirm that seventy-five percent of families try to do just that, despite the physical and emotional challenges of 24/7 dementia care. Often families turn to outside professional home care support.

Please take our A-LIST needs assessment survey and let us know your opinions on paid nursing support.

Decisions about care are deeply personal for those living with dementia and their families. I know from experience that there are no easy answers.
Whether you are living with dementia, are a current or past caregiver, or just concerned about your memory, please take this survey and let us know what matters to you when it comes to professional home care.

24/7 care is often central to the Alzheimer’s experience. Every one of us facing this challenge – patients and care partners alike – strives to honor and help our loved ones live well with dementia. Home care providers and policy makers want to know what matters most to the A-LIST.

These simple online tools from two trusted A-List partners will help you get started, so just click below to get started.

Roobrik: click here to take a free, 4-minute assessment to learn more about clinical research and decide whether participating in a research study is right for you. You will be asked a series of questions to help you understand how factors such as age and health can affect which studies you might be eligible for, and what exactly is involved in clinical studies.

I Love This Company!

Arthur’s Residential Care has sponsored and supported the Memory Cafe Concept from the beginning I brought it to the United States.  The minute I suggested they become involved in launching one they jumped with both feet in the water and have never looked back. ACR not only graciously gave us space for meetings, but provided treats and additional facilitators as our one group expanded to three.  They have been so progressive in staff dementia training and creating moments of joy for both their residents and their families; which I must admit brings a smile to my face and a warmth to my heat every time.  I am so blessed to witness their work.  Kudos Arthur’s Residential Care!
