The above video is in Memory of Paulan Gordon a good friend to many and a global advocate who lived with vascular dementia. Paulan was fearless and progressive in her mission to improve dementia care & support. She helped people understand what stigmas where attached to a diagnosis of dementia and routinely educated people how to recognize and reduce stigmas through inclusion and giving people hope that living well with dementia was possible.
This video was pulled together in collaboration of three organizations which Paulan was actively involved in: Dementia Action Alliance (DAA), Dementia Mentors, and Alzheimer’s Speaks. We thank all of the individuals that shared their love and respect for Paulan Gordon and her advocacy.

“With an estimated 80,006 deaths of residents due to COVID in long-term care homes nationwide — approximately 10,000 additional deaths reported since a month ago — and significant family visitation restrictions still in place in many LTC homes across the nation, it seems as though listening to the voice of elders in these care settings is now more important than ever!” Dr. Eilon Caspi
