We are a not-for-profit, charitable status organization in Canada that is trying to get a Co-housing model of care for Dementia up and running in Canada. We are using a model that is tried and tested in Germany for the past 20 years with substantial success. We would love to do an interview on the merits of this arrangement when compared to Retirement Home and Long Term Care Living for dementia. In dementia we are learning the relationships and small spaces are better for a number of reasons. A home environment often is the best living environment, but a home a way from home in a cooperative home setting is the next best!
